Outcomes for Children
Our East Yorkshire office was inspected by Ofsted in September and they achieved some 'outstanding' results.
The inspector said "Young people receive good quality child focussed care with some outstanding outcomes. The service is well managed and staff are suficiently qualified and experienced. Young people are matched with foster carers who can meet their needs. They are making good progress. Young people's safety, welfare and development is actively promoted. Young people confirm that they feel safe and are treated as part of the family. The service has robust management monitoring systems and regular audits that ensure improved standards are promoted and maintained and shortfalls are identified and remedied."

Young people have developed excellent and trusting relationships with their carers. They say that carers make them feel like of of the family. Young people said, '(foster carer) makes you feel like family; because I fit in and feel part of the family; they treat me like one of their own children.'

Young people's wishes and feelings are fully integrated into their care planning, taking into account their age and abilities. Young people exercise choice and do feel that their wishes and feelings are listened to and taken into account in decision making about their lives. One young person said, "I really love X and X and would like to stay with them because it's the best thing that has happened to me; I get treated the same as birth children."
